Hi there! I’m Sandy, the founder of Long Island Artisan Markets aka L.I.A.M. I started this page in August 2022 because I fell in love with the vibrant community of small businesses and artisan markets in our area, and I realized that many people didn’t know when or where they were happening. As a passionate supporter of local entrepreneurship, I wanted to create a platform where I could share my insights and highlight the amazing businesses in our community.
My boyfriend and I run our own small business, which is what originally brought us into the market community. Through our experiences, we’ve seen firsthand how much hard work and dedication goes into building and growing a successful business. We want to support and promote other small businesses in our community, and that’s why we created this page.
Through L.I.A.M, I aim to showcase the unique and diverse range of local businesses that make our community so special. I share a genuine perspective by allowing the entrepreneurs to curate their featured post to introduce you to the owners and allow them to share their journey as entrepreneurs. Most importantly, I strive to build a strong sense of community through L.I.A.M. I value everyone’s opinions since our community is unique to all of us.
I attend events and markets myself, and I’m always on the lookout for new and exciting businesses to share with you all.
